BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Plastic Surgery in Valley Park, Missouri, to join the ENT/Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. This 19-bed specialty unit focuses on advanced procedures and complex post-operative care with a history of excellence in patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration within a Magnet-designated academic medical center. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available.

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing care guidelines.
• Promotes patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Proactively plans and communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care.

Responsabilidades

• Educates patients and families on post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Develops, implements and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including cultural and personal needs.
• Demonstrates safety sensitivity and the ability to work in a high-alert environment as required by the role.
