BARNES-JEWISH HOSPITAL in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within a hospital setting, including assessments, care planning, and patient education.

You will work with inter‑professional teams to ensure safety and quality care, participate in care planning, and support discharge processes while adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient‑ and family‑centered care in a healing environment; educate patients and families on self‑care, discharge plans, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance; engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with inter‑professional teammates; proactively communicate the care plan across the continuum of care.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care; assess patient preferences, values, spiritual and cultural needs.
• Because this is a safety‑sensitive position, maintain alertness and work in a safe manner at all times.
