Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an RN Clinical Periop Lead (CPL) to organize patient care activities and serve as the primary clinical resource for the perioperative team in the designated specialty. The CPL will collaborate with physicians and staff to support a complex perioperative environment and lead staffing to ensure patient safety and quality care.

The role requires BSN and CT RN licensure, with at least 2 years perioperative experience and 1 year in the designated specialty; ACLS

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BSN required or attained within 2 years of start date.
  • Current CT state RN licensure and/or eligibility.
  • Specialty certification preferred.
  • ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes patient care activities and serves as the primary clinical resource to the perioperative team.
  • Collaborates with physicians and staff to facilitate perioperative services.
  • Lead and inspire a team of positive, competent, and dynamic individuals.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient, staff, and appropriate management data.
  • Identify and analyze trends in patient satisfaction scores specific to each specialty area.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in perioperative services associated with designated specialty(s).
