Job summary

USPI South Plains Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Clinical Manager to oversee the ambulatory surgical center’s clinical departments. This role requires building staff development programs, managing schedules, and guiding the team with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include budgeting, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards. Flexibility in hours and a focus on growth and sustainability are essential to success.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a professional school of Nursing; Bachelors preferred.
  • Current Texas RN license required.
  • Basic life support, ACLS, PALS are current.
  • Three years OR/critical care experience.
  • Three years RN management experience; outpatient surgery a plus.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication.
  • Familiar with state and CMS outpatient regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop clinical departments at ambulatory center.
  • Hire, evaluate, mentor, schedule and supervise staff.
  • Manage revenues for clinical services and client billings.
  • Ensure Joint Commission, CMS standards and budgets are met.
  • Attend mandatory in-services and meetings; adapt to variable hours.

USPI South Plains Endoscopy Center

is seeking a motivated Clinical Manager to join our team. We have 1 OR room, 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary

The clinical manager is responsible for overseeing and developing the ambulatory surgical center’s clinical departments through key tasks such as hiring, evaluating, mentoring, scheduling, and supervision. We seek a professional with proven but flexible strategies to allow for continued growth for the business. A clinical manager should be able to solve problems quickly and effectively using excellent critical thinking skills with emotional intelligence to deal with staff at all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities include but limited to

  • This professional is expected to implement the functions of staff development programs, quality assurance, monitoring budgets for service programs. They must also work with other members of the management team and communicate effectively with them. Additionally, the clinical manager will develop and plan strategies to manage program growth and ensure business sustainability.
  • The right candidate should be able to understand and demonstrate the ability to generate revenues for clinical services, as well as have experience in client billings, knowledge and adherence to regulations such as Joint Commission, CMS standards of care, fiscal budgets and performance improvement.
  • The clinical manager should have great communication skills and be open to working flexible hours.
  • Additionally, the clinical manager needs to possess great organizational and program development skills, as well as experience in basic computer software such as the Microsoft Office suite.
  • This professional is also required to attend all mandatory in-services and meetings.
  • Attends Annual Safety and Competency education session
  • Act in accordance with the vision, mission and business of the Center.
