USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking an RN Perioperative Clinical Manager. The role oversees nursing care for patients undergoing operative procedures in 5 OR rooms and 3 treatment rooms, with procedures across ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology.

Position requires weekdays only with shifts between early mornings and later evenings; no holidays or weekends or calls.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Current RN license in the state
  • CPR certification required
  • ACLS (advanced life support) certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year intra-operative experience
  • Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership and teaching capabilities
  • Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of the position

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, supervise and coordinate nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
  • Monitor and improve quality and performance measures within perioperative services
  • Communicate effectively with the perioperative team and other stakeholders
  • Lead change within the organization and participate in staff interviews
  • Assist in evaluating staff performance and provide role modeling of professional behavior
  • Manage operational and fiscal aspects of the perioperative services department
  • Analyze perioperative data to support collaboration with stakeholders

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated RN Perioperative Clinical Manager to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary: Responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the nursing care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Clinical resource for perioperative services staff members using evidence-based knowledge and prevailing standards.
  2. Evaluates current practice through quality and performance improvement measures.
  3. Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and other stakeholders.
  4. Coordinates, facilitates, and manages change within the health care organization.
  5. Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
  6. Use effective conflict resolution techniques.
  7. Operationally and fiscally manage the perioperative services department.
  8. Collect and analyze data that applies to perioperative services to facilitate collaboration and negotiation with stakeholders.
  9. Participate in interviews for staff selection.
  10. Assist in evaluating staff member performance.
  11. Serve as a role model of professional behavior.
