Job description

RN – Perioperative Services (Surgical Short Stay) (Contract)

Schedule

Start times: 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM

Call: Backup/second call for PACU only

Call rotation: 1 weekend every 6 weeks + 1 weeknight/week per 6-week schedule

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Provide pre-op, PACU (Phase I/II), and short-stay patient care

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

Assist with recovery, discharge planning, and patient education

Administer medications and monitor for post-op complications

Support perioperative team and function as scrub tech if needed

Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols

Requirements

Minimum 5 years pre-op / PACU / Phase II experience required
