Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN - Perioperative for a 13-week contract in Modesto, CA. The role requires pediatric to geriatric perioperative care with emphasis on airway assessment and pre-op education.

You must have California RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and Epic experience. Expect day shifts, no call, and a fast-paced OR environment supporting ambulatory/outpatient procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care in a 3-room perioperative unit.

• Document care and educate patients/families pre- and post-operatively.

Description:Local candidates accepted.Variable start times ranging from 5:30 AM to 11:30 AM.No call and no weekends required.Candidates should have experience with airway assessment, ambulatory/outpatient procedures, antiarrhythmics, anticoagulation therapy, and antihypertensives.Experience with medication reconciliation, pre-op assessments, and pre-op education is essential.Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage pediatric patients and administer monitored anesthesia care.Familiarity with obtaining consent and interpreting lab values is required.Experience in conducting discharge instructions and following up with patients post-operatively is essential.A strong knowledge of isolation precautions and malignant hyperthermia protocol will be beneficial.The unit handles a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.Daily census averages around 25 patients with three operating rooms available.Candidates must be prepared to follow established protocols and procedures for patient safety and care.
