Job summary

Moab Regional Hospital is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. You will play a crucial role in providing care to patients before, during, and after procedures while ensuring patient safety and effective communication.

Ideal candidates should possess a comprehensive range of nursing skills and have the capacity to adapt and learn new ones quickly. We offer a competitive pay range of $32.92 to $46.88/hour, with a sign-on bonus available for permanent hires.

Qualifications

  • Current unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients before, during, and after operations and procedures.
  • Respond quickly and accurately in various situations.
  • Available to take on average 6-8 days of call per month.

Job description

Join our Surgical Team at Moab Regional Hospital!

You play an essential role in the provision of care to our patients before, during, and after operations and procedures. You are efficient with a high level of attention to detail, and you are passionate about patient safety.

Our ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive range of general nursing skills and be able to adapt and learn new skills without hesitation. Due to the rural location of MRH, this position will call on your ability to respond quickly and accurately in a wide variety of situations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their nursing skills.

This position is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position.

Anticipated schedule:

Weekdays. Requires rotating on call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Starting pay range:

$32.92 – 46.88/hour, DOE.

A sign‑on bonus is available for permanent, full-time hire.
  • Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire
  • Available to take on average 6‑8 days of call per month with 20 minute response time to hospital
  • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
  • Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
  • A great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening
  • Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina and the ability to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances
Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of surgical operation procedures is a bonus
  • Prior experience in pre‑op and/or PACU is a bonus
