Job summary

SRMC Inpatient Surgical (5-S) is seeking a Registered Nurse Per Diem with rotating shifts to provide direct patient care across units including PCU/ICU/ED. The role requires a valid NM RN license and a minimum of one year of related experience, with responsibilities spanning medication administration, care planning, and safety.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the healthcare team, documentation, and adherence to policies. Per diem status and weekend coverage are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in NM or per reciprocal agreement.
• Minimum 1 year of directly related nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care to an assigned group of patients per care plan.
• Follow hospital and nursing policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Assist with tests and procedures and ensure proper consent.
• Participate in orientation and, after preceptor training, support new staff.
