Job summary

Rolling Hills Hospital in Tennessee is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN position to join our behavioral health team. The RN will deliver direct patient care per physician orders, support crisis management and safety, and coordinate care plans with the treatment team.

The role requires TN RN licensure, nursing education from an accredited program, and preferred inpatient psychiatric experience. CPR and HWC certifications are provided through training.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee.
Nursing experience in the behavioral health field preferred.
One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults and adolescents preferred.
CPR certification (training provided).
Handle with Care (HWC) certification (training provided).

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
Performs medical management and assessment; ensures environmental safety and crisis management.
Directs implementation of behavior management programs and carry-through of actions.
Assigns patient tasks to subordinates and monitors duties.
Provides training and education to staff, patients, families; documents care.
Collaborates with treatment team to ensure a therapeutic milieu.

Is responsible for making the patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitors their duties. The Registered Nurse provides training and education to staff, patients, families; documents patient care and ensures data is accurate and included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. Works with the treatment team to provide consistently therapeutic milieu.
