Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients.
• Work within Hospitals, Nursing division and departmental policies.
• Develop and document individualized care plans including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Assist with tests and procedures and ensure proper consent.
• Participate in orientation and preceptor training with evaluation responsibilities.
• Assist with emergency measures for sudden patient developments.
• Maintain patient medical records with necessary information.
• Answer telephones and triage calls per policy.
• Administer medication, including IV medication, with proper documentation.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients/families.
• Pursue professional development through education and literature.
• Follow patient safety policies and identify areas for safety improvement.
