Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (Per Diem) for the Third Shift. The RN will carry out the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation while ensuring quality communication and teamwork.

Requires RN licensure, BLS, and a minimum of two years of RN experience; a BSN is preferred. Per diem status and Virginia/compact licensure considerations apply with related education and competency requirements.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree at the associate level required; BSN preferred.
• Two years RN experience required.
• RN license and BLS certification required; specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, documentation and time management.
• Provide quality communication, teamwork and leadership/professionalism.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives and activities of other health team personnel.
