UnityPoint Health in Fort Dodge, IA is seeking an RN in our Pediatrics Unit for 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. This role offers the chance to cross-train across multiple hospital units and grow into a well-rounded pediatric nurse.

You’ll care for children and families, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and develop care plans. BSN preferred; ADN or diploma accepted with inpatient pediatrics experience; active Iowa RN license; CPR/PALS/NRP and stroke

Formación

• Inpatient pediatrics experience required.
• RN licensure in Iowa or applicable compact state.
• CPR, PALS, NRP and 2 hour annual stroke education required.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses and monitors patient needs across all age groups.
• Develops, implements, and updates individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with standards and care plans.
• Coordinates discharge planning, education, and referrals.
• Documents care accurately and communicates to ensure continuity of care.
• Supports unit operations, professional activities, and resource utilization.
• Maintains safety, follows policies, and promotes a positive patient experience.
• Uses electronic systems for documentation and collaborates across departments.
• Cross-trains and floats to Acute Care as needed.

Conocimientos

Inpatient pediatrics experience

RN licensure in Iowa or compact state

Educación

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required

Education:

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.

Licensure:

• Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence

Experience:

• Must have inpatient pediatrics experience

Certification/Courses:

• CPR, PALS, NRP and 2 hour annual stroke education required.
