Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity allows nurses to contribute their expertise in pediatric surgery and perioperative care.

The role requires 2+ years of OR experience for pediatrics, Ohio RN license, BSN or in progress, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred. Flexible PRN schedules and W2 employment are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• The OR RN provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room, performs assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery, assists the physician in the plan of care, and ensures continuity between the patient care unit and the OR.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
