Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide 1:1 pediatric home health care in Bensenville. The nurse will plan, implement, and evaluate care for a child with a G-tube, following a physician-prescribed plan of care. Schedule: Mon-Fri 4:30pm-8:30pm; Sat/Sun 11am-6pm; Start ASAP.

Requirements include an active RN license, current health certificate, PPD or chest X-ray, and a current BLS card. Competitive hourly pay, benefits, PTO, and retirement options are offered.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate as required by the facility contract or state regulation.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Initiates the care plan and revises as patient needs change.
• Administers medications and documents effectiveness of interventions.
• Reports changes in patient status to physician or supervisor.
• Reviews plan of care and identifies education and discharge needs.

Schedule: Monday - Friday Evenings 4:30pm - 8:30pm; Sat/Sun 11am - 6pm

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitive nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
