Job summary

AdventHealth South Overland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Unit on a full-time, day shift. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, collaborate with the care team, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• RN licensure valid in Kansas.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physical, psychological, spiritual and social domains.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocol.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and outcomes in the medical record.
• Assess and adjust care plans to improve patient health and outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
