Job summary

AdventHealth South Overland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This full-time, day-shift role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and comprehensive benefits from day one.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with staff to optimize care. Qualified candidates will hold an Associate's degree in Nursing, be licensed as an RN, and

• Completion of nursing program and licensure.
• Active RN license in Kansas or ability to obtain.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and evaluate care outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. * Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment.

Work Experience:

1+ acute care hospital setting

Licenses and Certifications:
