Job summary

Saint Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor seeks a Registered Nurse for the 6 North Medical PCU. The unit provides care for patients with complex co-morbidities, including ventilated cases, with a focus on vigilant monitoring and timely interventions.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS for selected departments; BSN is preferred and a BSN must be pursued within five years of hire. Shifts are 36 hours weekly, 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with holiday/weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing eligible for NCLEX.
• Current Michigan RN license (BLS).
• BSN preferred; obtain BSN within 5 years if hired.
• ACLS required for Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and analyzes patient information.
• Develops and revises an individualized plan of care.
• Uses teach-back to educate patient and family.
• Prevents hospital-acquired conditions.
• Communicates patient status during rounds and handoffs.
• Adheres to HIPAA and hospital mission.
