Job summary

UC San Diego Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Medicine PCU/IMU on the Hillcrest campus. The RN will provide autonomous nursing care on nights, 12-hour shifts, Sunday through Saturday, in a 90% appointment with CNIII level potential. Requires CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years inpatient PCU/IMU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN license issued by California.
• BLS and ACLS at time of hire; commitment to ART within six months.
• Minimum of two years inpatient PCU/IMU RN experience.
• Experience with psych patients or Crisis Prevention Training.
• Understands nursing-sensitive indicators and quality/safety.
• Demonstrates critical nursing thinking in progressive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous nursing care on the PCU/IMU unit.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing actions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
