Job summary

Openwork Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for PCU/IMC/Stepdown to deliver patient-centered care with close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care across transitional patient populations.

The role emphasizes adherence to clinical protocols, ongoing professional development, and meeting onboarding and credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intermediate Care (IMC), or Stepdown nursing preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on facility.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Compliance with all onboarding, credentialing, and health screening requirements as directed by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes that require physician notification or intervention.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
• Document patient care activities, assessments, and interventions thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding conditions, treatment plans, and care transitions.
• Ensure infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards are consistently maintained.
• Participate in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary rounds as required.
