Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Irving is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit on nights (7p-7a). This fast-paced PCU handles high-acuity patients in a collaborative, mentoring environment designed to expand clinical knowledge and professional growth.

You will care for Medical/Cardiac patients including sepsis, post ablation, insulin drips, and more. The unit emphasizes teamwork and a commitment to excellence and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • 1yr PCU RN experience.
  • RN – Registered Nurse and BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire).

Progressive Care Unit

Patient Population: Medical/Cardiac - Sepsis, Post Ablation, Insulin Drips, Cardiac Drips, COVID, Acute Cardiac and Neuro Admitting Patients.

Patient Ratios: 1:4

Number of Beds: 22 beds

Department Specifics: Our unit is team-centered, positive, supportive, and able to help each other out. We strive for excellence and development, promoting each nurse to the height of their abilities and ambition. Each shift provides something different, which makes this the perfect unit to develop as a nurse.
