Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks a Registered Nurse for our Neuro/PCU unit in Lexington, KY. This night shift role features 12-hour shifts on a 14-week assignment with floating between Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical units.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of specialty nursing experience, a valid RN license, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS. Epic EMR experience and epilepsy monitoring unit training are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care in a combined progressive care and medical-surgical unit focused on neuroscience patients.
• FLOAT between PCU and MED-SURG units as needed.
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio 1:3-5 with acuity-based adjustments.
• Perform telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management.
• Ensure compliance with ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications.

Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse in a combined progressive care and medical-surgical unit.The emphasis will be on neuroscience patients, but care for overflow patients from various disciplines is also expected.Floating between the two units is required.A nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-5 will be maintained depending on acuity.Experience in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential.Dysrhythmia management and pre/post-neurosurgery care skills are needed.Candidates must comply with required certifications, including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and additional competency exams.Candidates are encouraged to discuss prior employment at the facility to ensure eligibility for rehire.Locals within a specified radius are not accepted for this position.Candidates may be required to work during winter holidays.
