Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a Travel Registered Nurse for the PCU in Englewood, CO on a 13-week assignment. The MTU at a Level 1 trauma center requires acute care expertise and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Shifts are 7 PM to 7 AM. The role offers travel reimbursement and housing allowances, with strong clinical support and onboarding assistance. A minimum of 1 year acute care experience and BLS/ACLS certs are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in a PCU unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS experience preferred.

Job Description

The Multi Trauma Unit (MTU) is seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care for patients with complex trauma needs. As a Level 1 trauma center, this unit handles a highly acute patient population, offering a challenging and rewarding environment for nursing professionals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage critically ill patients with various trauma conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in procedures such as placing chest tubes and bedside bronchoscopies.
• Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment, including vents, feeding pumps, and wound vacs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital experience in a PCU unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS experience and Meditech familiarity preferred.
