Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Tonasket, Washington. This is a 13-week contract position with a 3x12 hour day shift schedule.

The ER is a Level IV trauma center handling STEMI, stroke, and intensive care needs. The RN will work autonomously, stabilize patients, and support transfer processes as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have prior experience in trauma and emergency nursing.
• Strong IV skills are required.
• Must be able to operate independently and handle diverse patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients based on acuity.
• Provide emergency care for strokes, STEMIs, and trauma.
• Manage IVs and critical drips, stabilizing patients prior to transfer if necessary.
• Collaborate with RT for ventilator management and patient support.
• Administer EKGs and breathing treatments.
• Document patient information in the TruBridge system.

Job Description

The Emergency Department is a Level IV trauma center and is involved in STEMI and Stroke receiving, with capabilities for ground and air transport for transfers. Staffed by a tight-knit team, the ER manages a range of patient conditions from minor illnesses to critical emergencies.

RNs in this role must be flexible and comfortable in all aspects of ER nursing. The facility sees an average of 17-32 patients per day and requires RNs to be capable of stabilizing patients, managing vents, and holding patients for up to 24 hours when necessary due to weather conditions. The RN will support a variety of cases and work autonomously, utilizing good communication skills for patient care and team collaboration.

Responsibilities
