Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a skilled RN for a 13-week PCU position in Ohio. The unit focuses on medical and radiation oncology, caring for oncology and hematology patients with varying acuity. Nurses may float between units and must cover every other weekend and holiday as needed.

Required is an active RN license (OH or compact) and oncology experience. BLS/ACLS/OCN are preferred. EPIC knowledge is highly valued to support patient care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license or compact license.
• Oncology experience required.
• Sickle cell experience and chemotherapy certification preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Must read and interpret strips.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit with mixed acuity.
• Maintain patient ratios around 1:4 to 1:6 depending on acuity.
• Travelers float across units and work every other weekend and holiday.
• Provide nursing care to oncology and hematology patients.

Description:This is a 35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit specializing in oncology and hematology patients.The unit has mixed acuity, caring for both Med Surg and Advanced Care patients.It primarily manages blood products and chemotherapy patients.Nurses administer chemotherapy with ONS certification.Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but can vary from 1:5 to 1:6 based on acuity.Travelers must work every other weekend and holiday.Travelers will float as needed, supporting the nursing care team.Previous Charge experience and community hospital experience are preferred.Candidates must be comfortable with various levels of patient acuity.
