Description:Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg.The ratios are 1:4 for all shifts.Charge experience is required.First-time travelers are accepted.No block scheduling available.No local travelers within 50 miles or less.Greater than 7 days of requested time off will require management approval.The patient age group includes adults and geriatrics.Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, atrial fibrillation, TIA, anemia/GI bleed, dehydration/AKI, syncope, vertigo, COPD, asthma, UTI/pyelonephritis, headache/migraine, CHF, seizure, carbon monoxide poisoning, pancreatitis, cellulitis, and post-outpatient surgery complications.This is a fast-paced department with a length of stay goal of 18 to 24 hours.Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.Experience in observation medicine is preferred.Additional skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips, and telemetry.Travelers are expected to float within required service lines.Candidates must have Epic charting experience.References are required from within the last 24 months.Travel pairs are acceptable to submit.Minimum of 1 year of acute experience is required.Pending license is acceptable as long as another active license is in hand.Fingerprinting requirements are applicable for specific units.Schedules are subject to change based on staffing needs with two weeks' notice provided for any changes.
