Job summary

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking an RN Manager for patient safety leadership in Cherry Valley, Massachusetts. The role focuses on directing the facility's patient safety program and coordinating process improvements to reduce medical errors.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in an inpatient care related field with JD, 5+ years in direct patient care, and 3+ years in Quality/Risk/Patient Safety; certification such as CPHRM/CPPS or eligibility within two years is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in inpatient care related field with J.D.
• Experience: 5 years in direct patient care and 3 years in Quality/Risk/Patient Safety.
• Licensure/Certification: CPHRM or CPPS Certification or eligible to take the exam within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facility-wide patient safety program and direct others to reduce medical errors.
• Lead safety assessments and coordinate patient safety activities or committees.
• Educate staff on system-based causes of errors and share literature-based safety strategies.
• Investigate patient safety issues, lead Root Cause Analysis and Focused Reviews.
• Notify Risk Management of potential risk issues and revise safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee annual scope creation, review, and refinements of the Patient Safety Program.
