Job summary

Texas Health Huguley in Burleson, Texas, is seeking an experienced RN to join the patient placement/transfer center team. The role involves coordination with physicians and hospitals to optimize bed availability and patient flow, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

The position requires an RN license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of clinical experience in acute or critical care settings. A Bachelor's in Nursing is required, with a Master's preferred.

Qualifications

• RN required (Licensure)
• BLS/CPR certification required
• 2+ years of clinical experience
• Previous clinical experience in acute or critical care settings preferred
• 2+ years of experience in patient placement or transfer coordination preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains communication with referring physicians and transferring hospitals regarding bed availability or access delays.
• Continuously re-evaluates patient placement requests and adjusts staffing and bed management plans accordingly.
• Evaluates available beds and develops contingency plans with charge staff to ensure uninterrupted patient operations.
• Identifies needs and opportunities for operational improvements to enhance patient access and bed turnaround.
• Initiates, promotes, and participates in interdisciplinary collaboration regarding patient placement.
• Supports and promotes excellence in customer and guest relations.
• Maintains a professional, collaborative, and congenial rapport with internal and external contacts.
