Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Registered Nurse in Riverside, California to administer medications, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and document care per standards. You will develop and execute patient plans of care, participate in performance improvement activities, and support new partner mentorship.

Requirements include ADN with BSN preferred, a minimum of 2 years of experience, RN licensure in state of practice, and CPR/BLS within 90 days; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and state laws.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops and executes patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians and clinic policy.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Mentors and precepts new partners to the organization.
• Engages in continuous learning and evidence-based practice guidelines.
• Supervises nursing support staff as appropriate.
