Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. You will coordinate care with other departments, ensure documentation accuracy, and participate in hospital committees or quality improvement when appropriate.

Responsibilities include patient hand offs, communicating with the multidisciplinary team, and staying current with mandatory certifications and competencies.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with current state license and required certifications.
• Ability to document accurately in electronic health records.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs patient hand offs using SBAR and bedside reports.
• Participates in unit huddles and communicates with physicians and team.
• Completes required nursing competencies and in-services within time frames.
