Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team in a patient-centered care environment. The role requires safe, accurate, and independent nursing practice following Mercy’s standards and policies. You will work with unit teams to identify clinical problems, develop care plans, and educate patients and families.

Open to external applicants with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. This full-time position includes day shifts, 36 hours per week, and requires Iowa RN licensure with BLS

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and clinically relevant information is communicated with patients, families, and co-workers at hand offs and other times as needed.
• Demonstrates competent assessment, planning, intervention, coordination and evaluation skills based on the patient plan of care.
• Continually assesses patient and family needs to provide quality care based on patient-centered care model.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and judgment to implement patient plans of care and nursing interventions.
• Maintains accurate real-time documentation of nursing care provided for input to the healthcare team.
