Job summary

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Iowa or a compact state is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse / Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate accurate and clinically relevant information during handoffs to patients, families, and coworkers.
• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care per plan.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care with safety and quality in mind.
• Document nursing care in real time according to hospital policies.
• Mentor and direct other licensed and unlicensed staff as assigned.
