Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health's CC Older Adult Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct care to an aging patient population in Belle Mead, NJ. The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to protocols, and achieving desired health outcomes.

You will collect patient data, perform assessments, coordinate care plans, and communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Licensure as an RN in New Jersey and BLS/CPR within 60 days are required.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree is required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues and enhance patient satisfaction.
• Adhere to established protocols and maintain documentation.
