Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Louisiana is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess patients, plan care, and provide quality nursing care to an assigned group across shifts. You will supervise LVN/LPNs, nursing assistants, and unit clerical staff, and may serve as charge nurse for the unit.

The role involves caring for older adolescents through geriatric and pediatric patients, implementing care plans, evaluating outcomes, and teaching patients and families.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Six months to a year of experience as a licensed RN or holder of an active GN permit.

Responsibilities

Meets expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Develops and reviews nursing care plans and updates them as patient needs change.
Implements nursing care as planned and documents procedures accurately.
Evaluates patient responses to interventions and progress toward goals with the team.
Provides teaching to patients and families and serves as a preceptor for new staff.
