Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide individualized resident care using the nursing process. The role requires collaboration with residents, families and an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care.

The RN will care for residents across preventive, health maintenance, diagnosis and treatment phases, coordinate care, assess residents, educate families, and supervise nursing interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized resident care.
• Collaborate with resident, family and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing knowledge and standards.
• Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis and treatment.
• Coordinate care, perform resident assessment and education, and perform nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff when appropriate.
