Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Memorial Village is seeking a motivated PRN PACU Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit team. The role involves caring for patients in the immediate post-anesthesia phase and coordinating with anesthesia providers and surgeons.

The position requires weekday work with no holidays, weekends, or calls; some early mornings and late evenings may be needed based on schedule.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS a plus).
• 1–2 years of Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, efficient care in the immediate post-anesthesia phase.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications after surgery.
• Manage airway, pain control, and vital signs until discharge criteria are met.
