Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood in Houston, TX, is seeking a Manager RN for PACU Recovery Pre-Admit to oversee nursing care and department operations. You will support the Director of Surgical Services, promote patient-centered care, and lead performance-improvement initiatives in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The role requires a BSN, 3+ years in Recovery/Pre-Admit, and current TX RN license (or compact) with BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
At least 3 years of experience in a Recovery Room/Pre-Admit setting; supervisor/manager preferred.
Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact; must obtain TX license within 90 days of hire.
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.

Responsibilities

Assist Director of Surgical Services with department activities to align with the facility's mission and values.
Coordinate department participation in Performance Improvement activities for continuous Quality Improvement.
Ensure nursing care is based on the nursing process and regularly evaluated.
Provide clinical support to the nursing staff.
Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and act as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
