Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood in Houston, TX, is seeking a Manager RN for PACU Recovery Pre-Admit to oversee nursing care and department operations. You will support the Director of Surgical Services, promote patient-centered care, and lead performance-improvement initiatives in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The role requires a BSN, 3+ years in Recovery/Pre-Admit, and current TX RN license (or compact) with BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Recovery Room/Pre-Admit setting; supervisor/manager preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact; must obtain TX license within 90 days of hire.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Surgical Services with department activities to align with the facility's mission and values.
• Coordinate department participation in Performance Improvement activities for continuous Quality Improvement.
• Ensure nursing care is based on the nursing process and regularly evaluated.
• Provide clinical support to the nursing staff.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and act as a resource to the Surgical Services team.

We are seeking a Manager RN PACU Recovery Pre-Admit for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will assist the Director of Surgical Services with all department activities to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long range plan, mission, vision, and values of the facility.
• You will assist in coordinating the department’s participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
• You will ensure that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
• You will provide clinical support to the nursing staff.
• You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required. Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Recovery Room/Pre-Admit setting is required. Supervisor/Manager experience is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
