Grandview Medical Center - Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pre Op/ Post Op Phase 2 Outpatient Surgery Center. The RN will provide patient-centered care, coordinate care plans, and support physicians and the care team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN licensure in good standing required.
• Outpatient surgical experience preferred.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered nursing care according to the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Educates patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintains infection control standards and promotes patient safety.
• Documents care and collaborates with the care team.
