Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PACU at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. The role is a 40-hour day shift with on-call rotation, including weeknights, weekends and holidays, with 10-hour shifts to meet department needs.

New hire sign-on bonus of $5,000 applies to 2+ years of RN PACU experience; vaccination requirements apply. Pay rate will be determined by experience, with competitive benefits and 403(b) match.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Over three months up to and including one year experience is preferred.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Rotation within all areas of perioperative services.
• ACLS required; PALS within 6 months of hire.
• PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients under the direction of the unit manager.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership with the patient care team.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice on assigned unit.
• Ensure care appropriate to the age group served.
