Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the PACU at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role includes coordinating nursing care, patient teaching, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications include RN licensure in Massachusetts and BLS; PACU/ICU experience preferred. A $3,000 new hire sign-on is offered for 2+ years RN [INSERT SPECIALTY] experience, with day/evening shifts and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• BLS certification is also required.
• Three (3) months experience is preferred.
• Previous PACU or ICU experience preferred - minimum of 2 years.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients under supervision.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by working with nursing and patient care teams.
• Ensure care appropriate to the age group of patients served.

We are searching for a talented Certified Medical Assistant

*$3,000 New Hire Sign On with 2+ years of RN [INSERT SPECIALTY] experience. Rehires Termed greater than 1 year are eligible*

Hours:24hrs

Shift:Day/Evening shift with on-call rotation (weeknights, weekends and holiday) 7:30am - 4:00pm; variable start time

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Three (3) months experience is preferred.
• Previous PACU or ICU experience preferred - minimum of 2 years.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC preferred.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $42.37 - USD $77.81 /Hr.
