Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Same Day Surgery Center (PACU/ICU) in a rural Vermont outpatient facility. The role involves admissions and discharges, post-anesthesia care, IV starts, and patient education, with call responsibilities and a 32-hour week.

The ideal candidate has PACU/ICU experience, at least 2 years in same-day surgery, admits/discharges, Cerner EMR, and BLS/ACLS certification, along with an RN license. ARMStaffing offers benefits and support.

Registered Nurse - Same Day Surgery Center (PACU/ICU)

Schedule

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with call responsibilities, 32 hours per week with additional hours expected from call duties.

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Same Day Surgery Center, primarily responsible for the admission and discharge of surgical/procedure patients, including nursing admission assessments and post-anesthesia care in both Phase I and Phase II. The ideal candidate should have strong assessment, IV, and patient education skills, with the ability to multitask and communicate effectively with team members including nursing and physician colleagues. Experience in PACU/ICU is preferred.
