Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN - PACU for a 13-week contract. The role requires PACU experience, an active RN license in the United States, ACLS and BLS certifications, and competence with ICU-level care. The unit features 18 bays, 25 staff, and a goal to move toward 24/7 coverage.

The RN will work on a Sunday-Thursday shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing in-house coverage and 1:1 or 2:1 patient ratios depending on case acuity. EMR used is Meditech Magic.

Qualifications

• Two years of PACU experience required.
• Licensed RN in the United States.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PACU care for post-anesthesia patients.
• Monitor vitals and recovery progress.
• Coordinate with surgical team for patient handoffs.

Description:The PACU unit has 18 bays and 25 staff members.Staffing consists of 1 CNC, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT on day shift.Currently, there are 2 RNs on call for the night shift, but the goal is to shift to 24/7 coverage.The position will provide one nurse in-house, and the second nurse for night cases will be on call.Patient ratios are 1:1 for the first 30 minutes or ICU level of care, and 2:1 when stable.Two RNs are required in the PACU at all times when a patient is present.EMR used is Meditech Magic.Candidates should be proactive and team players.Preferred certifications include CPAN and TCAR.Typical procedures in the unit include various surgical recoveries.There is no on-call requirement.The dress code is navy scrubs.
