Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a 13-week assignment in Richmond, VA. The role requires an RN license, ACLS/PALS, and a minimum of 2 years of PACU or ICU experience. Typical shifts run 11:00–20:30 with 36 hours per shift and on-call on weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the PACU with 2:1 to 1:1 patient ratios as needed.
• Set up PCA pumps, perform drip titration and arterial blood draws.
• Operate ventilators and monitors; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with team; on-call weekends may be required.

Description:The position is for a registered nurse in a post-anesthesia care unit.The unit consists of 19 main PACU beds and an additional 4 beds.There are 13 full-time staff members, including RNs, Clinical Coordinators, and Department Assistants.The day shift operates with a waterfall schedule starting at various times.Night shifts require on-call duties after a specified time.Patient ratios are typically 2:1, with 1:1 for unstable ICU and pediatric cases.The equipment used includes ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.The electronic medical record system is Meditech.Candidates will be evaluated based on their organizational skills, ability to multitask, and reliability.Typical procedures include setting up PCA pumps, drip titration, and arterial line blood draws.Candidates with experience in ICU or PACU drip titration and neurosurgery will be given preference.Weekends may require on-call availability, with call rotation among staff.Scrub color required for this position is navy.
