Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for PACU in Petaluma, CA. This 13-week day-shift assignment requires strong PACU background, compact license, and active ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications. Expect to monitor recovering patients, manage meds, and collaborate with the surgical team.

You will perform timely assessments, document care in Epic, and participate in weekend coverage and on-call duties as needed. Float to other recovery areas may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience.
• Current compact nursing license.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications.
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients in PACU.

Responsibilities

• Previous charge experience
• Patient ratio experience

Description:Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures.Monitor patients for any complications and ensure their safety and comfort.Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.Conduct thorough assessments upon patient arrival in the PACU.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes.Educate patients and their families on recovery processes and instructions.May be required to float to preoperative and other recovery phases as needed.Participation in weekend coverage and potential on-call duties may be necessary.Must adhere to protocols for medication administration and patient care.Ability to manage various procedures and equipment related to post-anesthesia care.Follow infection control guidelines and maintain a safe patient environment.Demonstrate competency in monitoring and caring for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics.Maintain documentation and charting in accordance with facility policies.Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
