Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for PACU in Wilson, NC. This 13-week assignment requires a skilled nurse to care for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitor vitals, manage pain, and prevent complications.

Shift is 07:30–20:00 with 12-hour days, and weekend/call coverage may be required. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of PACU experience, an active RN license, ACLS and PALS certifications, and strong teamwork.

Description:PACU nurses are responsible for the care of patients recovering from anesthesia.They monitor patients for any complications and provide necessary interventions.The unit consists of 8 beds plus 1 isolation room.Patient ratios align with ASPAN standards, which can be 1:1, 1:2, or 2:1.The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, excluding neonates.Common diagnoses include post-operative surgical patients, typically under general anesthesia.Equipment used includes cardiac monitors, IV equipment, SCDs, nasal O2, Omni Cell, and blanket warmers.Candidates should exhibit a pleasant and positive demeanor, as teamwork is essential.ICU experience is preferred but not required.Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, including weekend and call requirements.Candidates may be asked to assist in other surgical services areas as needed.Compliance with the dress code policy is expected.
