Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a PACU RN to join our 6-week assignment at a Minnesota hospital. The role involves caring for post-operative patients in PACU across orthopedic, spine, neurological, general, and oncology cases, with three 12-hour day shifts.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years ICU or 3+ years ED experience, an active RN license, and ACLS/BCLS/PALS certifications. Responsibilities include ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and occasional pre-operative support.

Hours per Shift: 12 hours (09:00 - 21:30 and 11:00 - 23:30)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience or 3 years ED experience.

License: Valid nursing license required.

Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS.

Must-Have:

• Experience with high acuity PACU patients.
• PACU proficiency with orthopedic, spine, neurological, general, and oncology patients.
• Experience with ventilators and post-operative recovery of oncology, orthopedic, gynecological, neurological, and general surgery patients.
• Ability to care for hemodynamically unstable patients in phase I recovery.

Description:This position is for a PACU RN.The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts per week, with varying start times.The patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:2 during the day and night shifts.The role requires experience working with high-acuity PACU patients.Candidates must be proficient in caring for orthopedic, neurological, general, and oncology patients in the PACU setting.Weekend work is required based on department needs.The clinician may float within the hospital as needed.The position involves caring for patients post-surgery, except for those undergoing eye procedures.Candidates should also be prepared to assist with pre-operative and phase II recovery.The facility provides support from various interdisciplinary teams.
