Talented-Medical-Solutions seeks an experienced RN for a PACU/Post-Anesthesia Care role based in Greeley, CO. The primary location is NCMC PACU with required float to Loveland or BFC PACU/Pre-Op as needed.
ACLS/PALS required with on-call duties and holiday rotation. You will perform post-anesthesia assessments, manage pain, document in the EHR, and collaborate with surgeons and nurses to optimize patient flow and safety.
Primary location is NCMC PACU and pre-op, but you must float to Loveland or BFC PACU/Pre-Op as needed.
PALS and ACLS required.
One 24-hour call per month on Saturday (0700-0700) or Sunday (0700-0700).
2 weeknight calls a month (1900-0700) and holiday rotation per unit policy.
Perform post-anesthesia assessments and monitor PACU patients for stability.
Administer medications and manage pain control per orders and protocols.
Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR with accuracy.
Monitor vital signs and promptly respond to adverse events in PACU.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure seamless recovery.
Assist with efficient patient flow to meet departmental targets and turnover goals.
Demonstrate accountability for personal performance and contribute to shared team targets.
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
Educate patients and families about post-anesthesia care and discharge instructions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in QA initiatives.
Ensure accurate inventory management of PACU supplies and equipment.
Active RN license with current PACU or perioperative experience.
Post-anesthesia and PACU assessment proficiency with vitals monitoring.
Medication administration per orders and pain management protocols.
Accurate EHR documentation of status, interventions, and outcomes.
Regulatory compliance and adherence to hospital policies and infection control.
Sterile technique and strict infection prevention practices.
Collaborative communication with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses.
Patient flow optimization and adherence to turnover targets.
Patient and family education on post-anesthesia care and discharge plans.
Quality assurance involvement and process improvement participation.
Demonstrated accountability and achievement of personal and team targets.
Inventory and equipment management for PACU supplies.
