Job summary

Qualifications

Description:This position involves working in a 12-bed recovery unit.The unit primarily utilizes 4-6 bays for the phase 1 recovery of general surgery and procedural patients.The role may require floating to other areas for staffing needs, including pre-procedure and phase 2 recovery.You will be responsible for the admission and discharge of patients undergoing same-day procedures.Key responsibilities include monitoring of vital signs, administering medications, and providing post-operative care.Experience in end-tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, and managing similar patient populations is essential.You will engage with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.This role demands strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to perform under pressure.Your shift may vary based on unit needs, and you may be required to be on call as needed.Weekend shifts may also be required based on staffing needs.
