Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in ambulatory care settings.
• Utilizes nursing process for telephone triage in ambulatory care.
• Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using nursing protocols.
• Ensures safe, timely, patient-centered care and supports clinic operations.

Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the electronic medical records.
